Fuji Rock Musical Acts Look To Make A Splash With Live Streams

Even meandering through the deeper parts of Naeba Ski Resort alone, I never felt lonely at this year’s Fuji Rock Festival. All I had to do was open Twitter, where everyone was talking about what was going on, even though they were thousands of miles away.

The three-day musical event had long been a gathering that could only be experienced by hiking in the mountains of Niigata Prefecture each summer. Since 2018, however, the festival has partnered with YouTube to stream select performances live for free.
