Japan went two-for-two in the first two contests on the Saudi Cup card with filly Songline (Jpn) (Kizuna {Jpn}) slicing through the field from distance to take on the G3 1351 Turf Sprint in a thrilling finish from America’s Casa Creed (Jimmy Creed) and Britain’s Happy Romance (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}). Godolphin favorite Naval Crown (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) set the pace while running a little briskly and found himself empty in the hallway, only to fade to finish in the second half of the pack. Christophe Lemaire has driven both Songline and Authority, winner of the G3 Neom Turf Cup a race earlier.
