MAN WITH A MISSION features theme song for X Games Japan 2022

extreme sports event X Games Chiba 2022 selects the MAN WITH A MISSION song “Tonight, Tonight” as the theme music. This is the first X Games event ever held in Japan and is scheduled for April 22-24 in Chiba. MAN WITH A MISSION’s unreleased song is the first track off their upcoming album, Break and cross the walls II.

Fittingly, the group will be performing at the X Games in Chiba on Saturday, April 23. As an avid skateboarder and snowboarder, lead singer Tokyo Tanaka seems genuinely excited about the event and shares:

The X Games are taking place in Japan, it’s really exciting. It’s an event I’ve been waiting for a long time and we’re playing live, I can’t help but get excited! At the biggest action sports festival in the world, we are all together. “Moriagarimasho!! Let’s get excited!”

MAN WITH A MISSION has been a hitmaker in Japan for over a decade and Break and cross the walls II seeks to continue this trend. Additionally, the new album follows last year’s release of the same title, Break and cross the walls I. The new CD is available May 25 on CDJapan and internationally via JPU Records.

The X Games is an extreme sports event founded in 1994 and also serves as a music and arts festival. It featured world famous musicians such as Metallica, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Wu-Tang Clan, The Chainsmokers and others. Yet the annual event is known for bringing fame to extreme sports athletes such as skateboarder Tony Hawk and snowboarder Shaun White.
