Wipro Appoints Dhruv Anand as Country Director and General Manager for Japan

TOKYO | BANGALORE, India – September 20, 2022: Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading technology consulting and services company, has announced the appointment of Dhruv Anand as Country Head & Managing Director for Japan Operations.

Dhruv will lead Wipro’s business expansion in Japan and will also partner with customers to help them realize their growth ambitions by leveraging Wipro’s capabilities in the go-to-market themes of experience, data, Analytics and Insights, Edge Engineering, FullStride Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, Core Business Transformation and Managed Services.

Dhruv has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in consulting, digital engineering, IoT and emerging technologies in the automotive, manufacturing and high-tech sectors in Japan. . The formative years of Dhruv’s career were shaped at Wipro, a position he later joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he held various leadership roles in sales, delivery and account management for Japanese customers and their global operations. In his most recent position at TCS, Dhruv led the manufacturing and high-tech sector with a focus on the Japanese automotive industry and ecosystem suppliers.

Dhruv holds a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune Institute of Computer Technology, India and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, India. He remains closely associated with the Linux kernel community where he spent his early professional years developing open source software.
